About
Born in Kyiv, Ukraine, Valeriya has received most of her musical education in New York City, where she was a full-scholarship student at Juilliard and Manhattan School of Music. A traveler, she has also studied abroad at the Royal Danish Academy in Copenhagen. Valeriya has spent her summers at festivals such as the Perlman Music Program, Music Academy of the West, Spoleto Festival USA and YOA Orchestra of the Americas. She was a laureate of the Liezen International Competition in Austria and the Antonio Janigro International Competition in Croatia. In the past year, Valeriya has appeared as a recitalist at Weill Hall at Carnegie Hall and The United Nations, as well as a chamber musician with the Thy Music Festival in Denmark. She has also appeared on Saturday Night Live, The Rachel Ray Show, and has recorded with Albany and GPR Records.
Valeriya is an active freelancer in New York City, and happily manages a studio of private students.
