A specialist in Renaissance and Baroque plucked stringed instruments, Charles Iner is a frequent performer in the Boston area, collaborating with local organizations like SoHIP Boston and Capella Clausura, as well as with his own ensemble, Il Contrapposto.

Music

My chief interests as a solo player are in Renaissance lute music from 1600-1640 or thereabouts (Dowland, Galilei, Vallet, Ballard), and in French Baroque music of the mid-to-late 17th century (Gallot, Gaultier, Mouton, Dufault), but I've been known to pluck a Weiss tune or two, or to realize an Italian cantata on theorbo.
