About

Nami and Ava are a brother-sister duo based in New York City. Originally from Iran, they were raised in a musical family that nurtured their musical bond from a young age. Nami is pursuing violin performance at the Juilliard School, while Ava has earned her master’s degree from Juilliard in Collaborative Piano.

Music

Nami and Ava enjoy performing a diverse range of works, from traditional sonatas by Beethoven and Brahms to more contemporary pieces such as Piazzolla's Tangos. Both have a deep passion for Iranian music—Nami plays the Ney, a traditional Iranian woodwind instrument, and Ava plays the Kamancheh, a string instrument from Iran. They particularly enjoy performing pieces by Iranian composers, and Nami, a composer himself, often incorporates elements of Iranian music into his own works.
