This program is a palette of different moods, characters, and dances. But the worlds of these two works are very different. From the orchestral, large scale, monumental Mussorgsky, to the grotesque, ironic, “weird” Bolcom, it is a colorful program of short pieces, which are forming two very different suites - different in style, but similar in their unpredictability of mood and color changes.
