About
I am a cellist currently based in NYC working on chamber projects, performing as a freelance solo, chamber, and orchestral cellist, and teaching. House concerts are one of my favorite ways in which to perform in a more intimate setting where the energy of the listeners is involved in the performance. I just completed four months performing on Bad Bunny's 2024 Most Wanted Tour with the Miami-based Philharmonic Orchestra Project, and completed my Master's degree in Cello Performance this spring at Penn State University as a Graduate Teaching Assistant studying with professor Kim Cook. Originally from Minnesota, I received my Bachelor’s degree in 2022 from Frost School of Music at the University of Miami where I was a Stamps Distinguished Ensemble Scholar with the Stamps String Quartet from 2018-2022. My previous teachers include Ross Harbaugh and Tom Rosenberg.
Music
I play solo and chamber repertoire from all eras of classical music, from composers such as Bach, Beethoven, and Brahms to Barber, Bloch, Ysaÿe, Lutosławski, and 21st century music by living composers. I love classical music of all eras, from baroque and classical to contemporary, and greatly enjoy pairing older and newer pieces and composers, which inspires flexibility and creativity in interpretation and performance.
