About

We're four musicians based in NYC who LOVE melodicas and Bach and drone music and want to make you LOVE them too. We play a combination of classical music arrangements and new compositions for 3 melodicas and a bass accordion. Since 2022 we've played at venues like The Stone Circle Theatre, Singers, Persona, and Cutelab.

One member has recorded all six Bach cello suites on Melodica, and we're planning to release our first album as a group early next year.

Music

We love Bach! Our repertoire includes over 30 Bach works, including the Double Violin Concerto, organ works like the Passacaglia in C Minor and St Anne Prelude and Fugue, selections from the B Minor Mass, and Brandenburg 5. We make arrangements for everything we play so they take full advantage of the sonic range our ensemble has to offer while remaining passionately faithful to the original works.

We also play new compositions by local composers (including ourselves); these are often pieces of drone music --- as in with long droning tones, not flying gizmos --- featuring our autonomous melodica-playing drone machine.
