The MDBQ presents their latest foray into playing seriously good music on melodica quartet, with an arrangement of Bach's Brandenburg Concerto number 5, Bach's Organ Prelude and Fugue in Eb, a Monteverdi madrigal, and two new pieces by Andrew and Lili!

This will be our first performance of the concerto, and we're pretty sure its first performance on melodicas.. Brandenburg 5 is likely the first keyboard concerto ever written, and features a stunningly virtuosic and lengthy solo cadenza at the end of the first movement, which Andrew will need to practice a lot for.

With the Organ Prelude and Fugue, we bring an organ to the living room! This piece is famously exuberant and massive, with an enormous opening fanfare leading into a sublimely complex 3-part triple fugue in 5 voices.
