About

I am a solo acoustic guitarist and composer based in NYC, but often traveling as well. My music takes takes great inspiration from literature - as a way of translating the author's intention into sound. I have composed based on the writing of authors such as Emily and Anne Brontë, Anne Morrow Lindbergh, Phillis Wheatley, and Anna Akhmatova. I favor the the miniature form in my pieces, similar to lullabies or hymns in that the melodies are very simple and unadorned with the duration of 1-2 minutes. To me, this delivery creates an inviting atmosphere and an invitation to wonder. I have been invited to serve as composer in residence by The Rauschenberg Foundation, The Klaustrid Foundation (Iceland), The Chen Dance Center, and Louisiana State University's School of Veterinary Medicine as well as guest lecturer at Stony Brook University, University of Tennessee, Louisiana State University, University of Illinois, and New Jersey Institute of Technology.

Music

I perform my original solo acoustic guitar music as well as the chamber and solo works of various contemporary composers.
