About

Vilna Trio was founded in Los Angeles in 2023 by bassoonist Daniel Goldblum, flutist Dominyka Šeibok, and pianist Valdone Arffa. Woodwinds Dominyka and Daniel, longtime partners in life and art, lived in Vilnius in 2019 and 2021, the capital of Lithuania. Dominyka and Valdone are both Lithuanian and studied in Vilnius as well, and Daniel's Jewish heritage knew it as Vilna, the "Jerusalem of the North" in Ashkenazi culture - a special place they all share, and their namesake.

Individually they've performed at many of the world's most storied halls, including Herkulesaal in Munich, the Musikverein in Vienna, Carnegie Hall and Walt Disney Concert Hall. Yet they love the intimacy and intensity of chamber music performed in a home setting, and are excited to bring their energy and creativity to homes throughout L.A.

Vilna Trio specialize in adapting piano trio repertoire to their unique instrumentation, bringing a fresh sound to some remarkable music including Schubert and Shostakovich, heard like never before.
