About

We are three professional musicians living in Washington DC.
Isabelle Frouvelle has a multifaceted career as solo harpist, professor, author, composer, and illustrator. Jonathan Baumgarten is Professor of Flute at American University and performs widely in the Washington DC area. His wife Amy Frost Baumgarten is Principal Cellist with the Kennedy Center Opera House Orchestra and teaches at Catholic University.

Music

A mixture of composers including Ravel, Debussy, Bellini, Jongen, Villa-Lobos, and Godard, including music from the 19th and 20th centuries. This music is elegant, at times ecstatic, at others brilliant or stately. It was written to be enjoyed in an intimate space, and has a connection to the cultural fabric of both place and time of composition. Our concerts are full of variety and gorgeous colors as these three instrumentalists interact and respond to each other.
