About

Born in Chicago, IL, Mike began his violin studies at age three. An experienced soloist, Mike has appeared with half a dozen orchestras including the Puget Sound Symphony Orchestra (PSSO) and Sunnyside Symphony Orchestra. Mike has recorded two original non-classical albums, Waiting for the Dawn and Adaptation, with styles ranging from bluegrass to new wave to hip hop. He has also written a piano concerto, a symphonic piece, and a number of chamber works premiered by the Northwest Piano Trio, The Mousai, and members of PSSO. Mike actively performs with ArcoPDX (Amplified Repertory Chamber Orchestra of Portland), serves on the board of Classical Revolution PDX, and works as a physiatrist at Kaiser Permanente.
