About
I'm a NYC based concert cellist and chamber musician, as well as a cello instructor. I love to play all types of musica and particularly like collaborating across artistic disciplines (such as visual arts, drama, dance, and other ectectic fields). Areas of other specialities and interest include mathematics as this was a minor degree/concentration of mine throughout undergraduate and graduate school. I also love arts leadership and community engagement, and am very passionate about social justice and inclusion/equity within the greater arts field. Other areas of interest include traveling, dogs, chess, and automobiles (huge enthusiast here!) :)
Music
Anything I'm in the mood for! Particular interests are of mid-late Romantic music, and 20-21st century music. Specific composers of interests are sonatas by Rachmaninoff, Faure, Schnittke, and any chamber music such as piano trios, quartets, and quintets of composers Brahms, Schumann, Dvorak, Schubert, and Mendelssohn. I also love 20th century French composers such as Olivier Greif, Nicolas Bacri, Olivier Messiaen, etc. and music of late 20th-early 21st century by composers Tyshawn Sorey, Carman Moore, Kaija Saariaho, Magnus Lindberg, among many others.
