About

Hi! I'm a pianist, composer, and educator. Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, I now live primarily in New York city where I serve on the faculty of The Juilliard School's Pre-College and Extension divisions teaching Ear Training and Composition. My particular specialty is vocal writing, and in general my music is known for its lyricism — through my work as composer-in-residence for Paris-based Opéra de Poche, my operas have been staged in France, China, Iceland, and the USA.

Music

Typically, I like to offer programs consisting of a work of mine and one or two complimentary works from the standard repertoire. A few favorite composers to perform are Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert, and Brahms. I enjoy collaborating with singers, violinists, and cellists in particular.
