Evren Ozel
Piano
About
I am in love with the piano. Since my first lesson at age 3, playing piano has been a continuous journey of struggle, discipline, and the most incredible joy.
21 years after that first lesson, I am now 24 years old and a candidate in the prestigious and highly-exclusive Artist Diploma Program at New England Conservatory of Music, under the tutelage of Ms. Wha Kyung Byun.
Some of my most memorable experiences as a musician include performing Beethoven's glorious 4th Piano Concerto with the Cleveland Orchestra at Severance Hall (see cover photo), spending four summers at the magical Marlboro Music Festival, and playing recitals at homes in the Boston area!
Music
I play the classical canon, from Bach all the way to contemporary composers like Kirchner and Kurtag. I specialize in Chopin and am currently working on a project to record all the Chopin Mazurkas.
