About

I am a pianist and composer, originally from the Netherlands, but currently living in Brooklyn, NY. After finishing my Bachelor of Music in Amsterdam in 2010, I moved to New York City to get my Master of Arts degree in Jazz Performance, where I graduated in 2012. Ever since I have maintained a busy schedule performing, composing, and arranging music, both as group leader and a sideman to other artists.
My trio main projects are my chamber jazz trio Malnoia, which features bass clarinet and viola, and my solo piano project Doeke, a peaceful piano project inspired by nostalgia and childhood memories.

Music

My different projects reflect the wide range of musical influences I take inspiration from. From classical music to jazz, and from Brazilian music to film scores, many genres find their way into my compositions.
