About

Hi! I'm Trevor, this is my 7th year in New York, I play Violin and Viola, and I currently live in Bedstuy. I'm fortunate enough to be a working musician and I've enjoyed playing Groupmuses around this city as well as in other cities.

I'm classically trained, I went to Portland State for undergrad and University of Michigan for grad school. Bach is my favorite composer but Beethoven, Shostakovitch, and Philip Glass are close 2nds. Good thing I don't have to choose only one right?

When I put together a program I like to always make sure I know the story/history behind it, I really enjoy passing on that information and interacting with the audience. I find that it's really important to provide a clear context of where the music came from, especially when we find parallels and similarities between the composer, period, and their audience.
