Baroque Violin

About

I studied violin at Manhattan School of Music (Master's degree) and SUNY Stony Brook (Doctor of Musical Arts degree) and also did an Artist's Diploma in Baroque Violin at the Sweelinck Conservatory in Amsterdam. I lived in Europe for several years, working with several period instrument ensembles, and then came back to my hometown of New York City and founded my own own Baroque chamber music group called Repast. We have a concert series in Manhattan and Brooklyn and would like to do some GroupMuse performances in order to draw younger audiences to our music. I also would like to do a solo Baroque violin program with Bach, Biber, Telemann, and Roman at a GroupMuse event.
One important thing to note about ensemble programs is that we use a harpsichord. The venues where we play need to be relatively easy to bring a harpsichord into. It is about 7' long and about 3' wide, so narrow staircases and small elevators are not possible for us. But it's a beautiful instrument, so in the right venue, it's absolutely worth the schlep!
