Historical context

We are playing pieces mostly by Bach, in which we will have ample time to share facts about Bach’s life, composition style and legacy. In keeping with Kompass Quartet’s mission to expose audiences to music by under represented composers, we will also be performing “A Love Worth Fighting For” by Australian Composer Ella Macens, who sites Bach as a major influence in her own writing.
