This is a groupmuse

A live concert in a living room, backyard, or another intimate space. They're casual and friendly, hosted by community members.

Host

Cellist Alex Ellsworth will be treating us to a series of unreleased original works, layering emotive strings with vocals and loops, as well as an arrangement of "Crepuscule with Nelle" by Thelonious Monk. He will be joined by Eugene Kaler on violin playing virtuoso solo works by Kreisler, Bach, and Ysäye. Alex and Eugene will come together throughout the night for duos by Bach and other arrangements.

I’m looking forward to seeing you all and will plan to have some light nibbles and sips on hand. Please bring anything you would enjoy sharing!

Come get comfy and a little mid-week decompression in. Bring a blanket if you’d like.

We'll plan to get going by 8 so please come through before then!

This 'muse is centrally located via Red/Brown/Purple lines and is handi-accessible. I am happy to accommodate further so please drop me a note!

What's the music?

Bach - Partita 3 movement 1
Kreisler - Recitative and Scherzo
Ysäye - Sonata 2 movement 1
Thelonious Monk - Crepuscule with Nellie
Original compositions by the performers
