The Broadway Musical is just one of the many branches that have grown from the Classical Music Tree that we so honor and celebrate here at Groupmuse. The Musical’s immediate precursor, the Opera, has long been a central fixture of this entire mode of cultural and spiritual expression so when the San Francisco Symphony came to us offering a Night Out with Leslie Odom, Jr. — a Broadway megastar, we were thrilled to say the least.
Odom was the original Aaron Burr, in the epochal Hamilton, it’s this musical that maybe you’ve heard of? The turn earned Odom a Grammy and launched him into the stratosphere. And this’ll be the first time he’s joined the San Francisco Symphony on stage, so it’s quite a treat that we’re invited to join. Details of the program have remained illusive, but with talent of Odom’s caliber, backed by the tsunami of sound that is the SFS, you can rest assured it’ll be a real good night.
Tickets usually average $65, but we’ve got a stack for a mere $25! But the show is this Sunday and the tickets probably won’t last, so make your move now!
