Let us not forget that for all who leave the summer swelter in the depths of New York City's August, so many millions stay behind to watch the fort. And so, on August 11th and in the beating heart of Midtown, we celebrate those who stick around with a Midtown Massivemuse!
The Ensemble Co-Working Space NYC, located only minutes by foot from Grand Central Station, is throwing open its doors, its floors, and its grand piano to us so that we may Massivemuse. And we're bringing the big guns for this one -- violinist Alexi Kenney, winner of the 2016 Avery Fisher Career Grant, is one of the rising start violinists of this moment. He's joined by Swedish pianist Lana Suran, who's won more musicianship prizes than can be reasonably listed. They've prepared an evening of music by our beloved Franz Schubert, the original hero of the classical music DIY scene from way back when -- his three lovely and masterful violin sonatinas.
The evening is BYOB and though it is a Massivemuse, it's not limitlessly massive, midtown floorspace in demand as it is, so if you want in, make haste!
See you there!
