About

Zoe Hale is a professional cellist based in New York. Since 2012, she made appearances at the Walt Disney Concert Hall (with Lynn Harrell, Grammy-winning cellist), Lincoln Center, and Carnegie Hall with honors orchestras. Her career has been supported through her education at Pasadena Conservatory, Colburn School, and New York University (mentored by Julian Schwarz).

Most recently, she was selected as a delegate in the Miss Universe Organization, where she made appearances as Miss Washington Square USA (2023) and as Miss Golden State USA (2024). The platform granted her the space to advocate for the preservation of classical music in a contemporary society.

Music

Zoe's specialty in classical music involves solo cello work, as well as collaboration with ensembles and orchestras. Zoe showcased recitals comprising of masterpieces that included Schubert's Trout Quintet, Passacaglia by Handel-Halvorsen, Bach Suites I-IV, Chopin Cello Sonata, Elgar Cello Concerto, Dvorak Piano Quintet in F Minor, and Mendelssohn Piano Trio No. I.

Zoe performed in Virtuosi Concerts at the Gingold Chamber Festival of Miami in 2023, which included her performing in collaboration with other accomplished, virtuosic musicians.

In addition to her classical specialty, Zoe has experience performing and recording improvisational and contemporary works since 2012. She has premiered film scores and contemporary compositions by graduates of Tisch and Steinhardt within New York University during her undergraduate career, and she has worked directly with modern composers in both recording studios and live venues.
