About

I’m a dynamic artist with a focus on storytelling through sound, blending genres to create unique sonic textures. My work is unconventional, using music to spark conversations about cultural and social issues. As a performer, composer, producer, and educator, I enjoy exploring genre fusion and perform music influenced by classical, funk, neo-soul, R&B, jazz, and contemporary styles. I regularly perform my own original music and collaborate with artists worldwide. I hold a Master of Music in Contemporary Performance from Berklee College of Music and a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Arizona State University. I'm dedicated to equity and inclusion in music. I am a co-founder of the Chromatic Brass Collective and a member of various organizations committed to increasing diversity in the arts.

Music

The music I play is a fusion of diverse genres, drawing from my experiences in classical, rock, funk, soul, R&B, jazz, and other contemporary styles. My work often blends these influences to create new sonic landscapes that challenge conventional genre boundaries. Much of my music stems from a desire to tell stories and spark dialogue around cultural and social issues, reflecting my belief in the power of art to connect people. I regularly compose and perform original pieces, incorporating my voice, French horn, and other instruments to explore new textures. My background in classical performance, paired with a passion for contemporary styles, shapes my unique approach. I also collaborate with musicians from all over the world, bringing in their influences and traditions to create a more expansive, inclusive sound. Ultimately, my music is about innovation, connection, and using sound as a way to push boundaries and explore the complexities of our shared human experience.
