About
Operatic Soprano Tate Kamakea Chu is a native of San Diego, California. Mrs. Chu has sung full roles from much of the standard repertoire, including Gilda, Suor Angelica, Rusalka, Pamina, Micaëla, Lauretta, and Musetta. She has performed internationally alongside Andrea Bocelli (Hollywood Bowl), Kathleen Battle, the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Pacific Symphony, and recorded with SONY Classical Music, and Eric Whitacre’s Paradise Lost (Disney Concert Hall). Tate received her Bachelor’s degree in vocal performance from CSU Fullerton and her Master’s degree in Classical Voice at Manhattan School of Music, where she most recently received her Professional Studies Certificate.
