New York based award-winning drummer and composer Ben Freidkin holds a Master of Music degree from the Aaron Copland School of Music (Queens College) and is the winner of the “2020 Freddie Gruber Drum Set Scholarship'' awarded by the Percussive Art Society as well as the “George Bann Award for Best Jazz Performer” (2019). Ben has played in some of the most distinguished venues around the world, such as: Ornithology Jazz Club, Zinc Bar, Nublu, The Bitter End, The Rex, Beit Ha'amudim, Shablul, Zappa Tel-Aviv, and countless others. Ben has collaborated with numerous world renowned musicians including: Gilad Hekselman, Amit Friedman, Hila Kulik, Albert Beger, Eli Magen and others., His first record as a leader “Trial & Error”, was released on 2022 to favorable reviews.

With my electric jazz fusion group - "Cobbs" - we play mostly original music, inspired by the legacy of the great fusion bands of the past such as Weather Report and Mahavishnu Orchestra, but with a 2024 sound!
