Lucy Khanyan is a pianist, composer, who composes and plays a fusion of contemporary Armenian avant-garde folk and world elements incorporating Jazz, impressionistic, surreal colors and multi instrumental approach . She is also specializes in meditative, healing music.
Born in Yerevan, Armenia; lives in the United States ,Los Angeles , she is mainly self-taught , later on she presented herself with original compositions . Lucy Khanyan has released several albums and currently is active as a performer , creator and collaborator .
She is exploring new and unconventional approaches to creating music that blends elements of folk music with avant-garde techniques.
In her homeland, Lucy Khanyan founded several projects that are active in Los Angeles , the main ones being the Lucy Khanyan Ethno Jazz Trioand Lucy Khanyan Avant Garde Folk Orchestra

Also I specialize in meditative, ambient, healing music. I am exploring new and unconventional approaches to creating music that blends elements of folk music with avant-garde techniques. My compositions may feature unconventional instrumentation, complex harmonies, and unusual structures that challenge traditional ideas about what folk music can be. I am deeply inspired my the mountains of Armenia and in general I am very connected to Nature .
