About

We are the Stanton Street Duo, a harmonica and guitar ensemble based in San Francisco.
We met at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music while both studying classical guitar performance. Our duo formed in 2021, when Alan discovered the chromatic harmonica, the instrument that inspired us to pursue a new musical experience away from western classical music. We recently performed as finalists in NYC at the CAG Elmaleh Competition and have shows scheduled in November in the Blanco Concert Series near Austin, Texas and in January in the South Bay Guitar Society concert series.

Music

We specialize in performing Latin American music that represents our own unique cultural backgrounds. Our program consists of both original compositions and arrangements, each piece showcasing this fresh and versatile instrumental combination. Tango, choros, zambas and boleros are some of the styles performed in our group and we explore the music of Astor Piazzolla extensively.
