Amré Leon Dana
Violin, Bass, Guitar, Banjo
About
Southern Oklahoma raised, Leon has spent most of his life as a traveling musician, educator, and inspiration to communities the country over.
Music
As an artist, I generally play from the heart, original pieces that tend to span across a variety of genres in the most unique way. Growing up in the Black Southern Gospel tradition, and branching out to Classical, Jazz, Blues, R&,B Hip Hop, Country, Red Dirt, Americana, and Folk in the early years as a youth. When it comes to performing, Leon is known as a “musician’s musician”, able to perform an incredible amount of instruments at a virtuous level. Sharing the stages with Heavy Metal groups, country bands, rap artists, folk musicians, mariachi bands and classical symphonies, and many more. When it comes to his solo performances, they are truly intimate, heartfelt, and inspiring, being summed up in one word—Soulful.
