About

Hi, I'm a Los Angeles born Vocalist, Composer and Educator who loves soul, jazz, R&B and the blues. I also hold a J.D. from UC Berkeley--but that's another life! My performance style is warm and intimate, and I love to create spaces where the musicians and audience are equally engaged.

As for my performance experience, I've toured Japan, England, Australia, and had some nice domestic engagements including Birdland, The Blue Note and Dizzy's Den (NYC), Walt Disney Concert Hall (LA), SFJAZZ, and festivals including Home Rule (DC), San Jose Jazz, Healdsburg Jazz, and others. I've also had the pleasure of performing with some incredible musical heavyweights, including Pharoah Sanders, Roy Ayers, John Handy, Cyrus Chestnut, and Doug Carn.

What does all that mean to you? Well, I'm a seasoned professional whose love for music is infectious. I'd love to make a music party with you!

I specialize in a blend of Black musical art forms: classic jazz (Ella Fitzgerald, Duke Ellington), blues (Bessie Smith), soul (Aretha Franklin), and R&B (Prince).
