Sameer Apte

About
American cellist Sameer Apte was born in 1997 in Cleveland, Ohio. He has held fellowships at Tanglewood, Aspen, PMF Sapporo, and Madeline Island. As a soloist, he has collaborated with conductors Carl Topilow, Stephen Schultz, and Gerard Schwarz.
Apte is currently a D.M.A. candidate and teaching assistant to Prof. Colin Carr at Stony Brook University. He earned his M.M. (2021) from the New England Conservatory as class assistant to Paul Katz and his B.F.A. (2019) from Carnegie Mellon University under Anne Martindale Williams (cello) and Daniel Nesta Curtis (conducting).

Classical: for solo cello concerts, largely baroque and contemporary music.
