I am a professional pianist studying at New England Conservatory since 2017.
Born in a Chinese musical family, I started to learn piano and voice with my father since I was at the age of 4. As a passionate musician, My full passion have been filled in with performances. I have performed many important venues such as Jordan Hall in Boston USA. He was invited to make a debut recording under the KNS classical with a composition by a famous American-Chinese pianist and composer Yigiang Sun, which is about to published by “People’s Music Publishing House '' as a model performance in 2023.
As a winner of more than ten international and national piano competitions, Zhiqiao Zhang has recently been awarded the 1st prize at the 2022 lancaster International piano festival competition, the 2021 Arizona Piano Institute’s Solo Piano Competition, and etc.

Music

I usually play the piano repertoire within so called “classical music”. I have played Sebastian Bach‘s Well-Tempererd clavier, Partitas, and English Suites, Sonatas by Mozart, Haydn and Beethoven, some big romantic pieces such as Rachmaninoff Variations on the theme of Correli, Op.42, Schumann Symphonic etudes(Op.13) and Humoreske(Op.20) and other style of pieces such as Ravel Valses nobles at Sentimentales, Stravinsky Petrushka and etc.
