About

Coby Petricone-Berg is a New York City based alto saxophonist and composer. Beginning with piano in early elementary school, as a fifth grader he started playing the alto saxophone in his school band, and discovered a passion for jazz as he explored different musical ensembles through middle and high school. After moving to NYC in 2019 to attend the Juilliard School, Coby is currently finishing up his degrees and will graduate in 2024 with both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s in Music. His debut EP “Village”, released the summer of 2022 pays homage to the people and places that shape us as well as ideas of family and community. Coby is currently booking performances across NYC playing released and unreleased material and has performed at Birdland Jazz Club, Dizzy's Club at Jazz at Lincoln Center, the David Rubenstein Atrium at Lincoln Center, the Django, and the Jazz Forum, both as a sideman and a bandleader.
