About
Paul Livingston is a Scottish chamber, orchestral and session violist currently based in Berlin. He plays with the Mahler Chamber Orchestra, the Philharmonia and the Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchester Berlin among other ensembles across Europe. As guest principal, Paul has worked recently with the Dogma Chamber Orchestra, RTE Symphony Orchestra Dublin and the Berliner Symphoniker.
Paul is also in constant demand as a session player at Abbey Road, AIR, Teldex, Angel and other major studios in London and Berlin, recording on film/TV soundtracks, commercial albums and more.
Paul studied with Bruno Giuranna at the Accademia Stauffer, Cremona and made his recital debut there at the Museo del Violino in 2018. He also received important guidance and inspiration from Máté Szücs and Igor Ozim. Paul plays on a Cremonese viola by Eva & Christa Marino.
