About

I am a classical singer in the business for 35 years. Before 2020, my last engagement was singing Weill's "Seven Deadly Sins" in Germany with Ute Lemper and the Kammerakademie Potsdam. I sing the part of Fridolin on the Naxos recording of "The Rose of Stambul" by Leo Fall. In 2020, I suddenly found myself with lots of time to practice, so I did! I put many of my best-loved classical songs and arias to ukulele accompaniment. I sing these pieces in a quiet, lullaby style-it's like hearing the music "from the inside out".

Music

My repertoire includes opera and operetta arias and art songs from many different composers of classical music. Bizet, Schubert, Mascagni, Chopin and Sorozabal are composers you might hear at my concert. I accompany myself on ukulele, and bring the volume and tone of my voice down to match the soft string instrument. It's a croony, lullaby version of the arias you know and love.
