Adam Cordero
Saxophone, Clarinet, Bassoon
About
New York native Adam Cordero is a woodwind instrumentalist, composer, educator, and environmentalist based in Queens, New York. His dedication to music has led him to play at numerous established venues & festivals, such as Bar Next Door, Smalls Jazz Club, Roulette Intermedium, The Jazz Gallery, Williamsburg Music Center, and the Bern Jazz Festival. Adam has shared the stage with well-known artists, such as Ingrid Jensen, Morgan Guerin, and Tyshawn Sorey. Although Adam primarily plays saxophones, Adam also considers his other woodwinds an essential part of his artistic identity— he also plays clarinet, bass clarinet, bassoon, and flute.
Music
I usually play a wide variety of jazz (spanning the American Songbook, jazz standards, modern jazz and free jazz) and my own original music, which explores a crossing of different genres (folk, contemporary classical, improvised music, and more) with modern jazz.
