Dmitri Yevstifeev
Viola, violin
About
I started violin at the age of 5, viola at 14, and have picked up several instruments since then, including mandolin and guitar, and also enjoy singing. I have studied at Peabody, CIM, and Colburn for classical viola performance, and have since started exploring the world of improvisation in its many forms including jazz, folk, blues, or completely free-form! I am also exploring composition and instrument making, and hope to incorporate all of this into my performances.
Music
I play lots of classical music, usually chamber music, or Bach! I've done a lot of exploration into jazz and improvisation in general, and love to incorporate this into performances. I also use a loop pedal to play multiple instruments and layer songs together live! I plan to try out some original compositions at these performances.
