About

Mezzo-soprano Alma Neuhaus hails from Minneapolis, Minnesota and sings with a passion for opera, art song, and Golden Age repertoire. She completed her graduate studies in 2021 at the Juilliard School where she made her debut as Jenny Reefer (The Mother of Us All) in collaboration with MetLiveArts and the New York Philharmonic. She also appeared as Arcane (Teseo) with Juilliard Opera and Lincoln Center Restart Stages. Other engagements include concerts with Juilliard415 and Alice Tully Hall. Ms. Neuhaus joined the Music Academy of the West in 2020 and 2021 where she appeared as Sandman (Hänsel und Gretel), was featured in Mirrorflores: Cinematic Opera, and participated in several concerts. In 2021/22, she received the Liederkranz Foundation Prize for the 2021 Gerda Lissner Lieder Competition, appeared as Filide (Aminta e Filide) with Les Arts Florissants under the direction of William Christie, and will make her recital debut in Zenkel Hall at Carnegie Hall.
