About
Emma Richman, a native of Minneapolis Minnesota, began studying violin at the age of five with Susan Crawford as a part of the Northern Lights School for Violin. She deepened her musical studies through participation in Minnesota Youth Symphonies for nine seasons, and developed a passion for chamber music in the Artaria Chamber Music School where she studied the art of chamber music for seven years. In 2015, Emma began studying with Minnesota Orchestra concertmaster Erin Keefe, and elected to take a gap year to pursue another year of intensive studies with Keefe before accepting a place at The Juilliard School. An avid chamber musician, Emma has participated in the intensive chamber music programs at Domaine Forget in Quebec, the Fontainebleau Schools in France and in the 2020 ChamberFest at Juilliard. In June 2021, Emma completed her undergraduate degree at Juilliard where she will now pursue a Master’s Degree under the instruction of Areta Zhulla.
