Described as “magnetic … impressive” (Houston Chronicle), “The marimba played by Nunoya can sing” (Klassik Heute), marimbist Fumito Nunoya is gaining recognition internationally as one of today’s leading marimbists for his lyricism and deep musical expressions. His latest CD “Concertos on Marimba,” released from Oehms Classics in 2019, was chosen for German airline, Lufthansa’s in-flight entertainment. This CD has also gone on the air through the radio stations in Europe and received the “Gouden Label” award from Klassiek Centraal in Belgium.
