About

Classical guitarist Catherine O’Kelly is an emerging artist, both as a soloist and as a chamber musician. Together with flutist Arielle Burke, Catherine cofounded Tedesco Duo in 2011. As a soloist Catherine has performed at numerous venues including The University of Connecticut, The Rivers School Conservatory and The Windsor Arts Center. In 2012 Catherine performed as the soloist in Four Rhodian Scenes by Thomas McGah with The Hartt School’s Capitol Winds. Catherine is currently pursuing her Doctor of Musical Arts degree in classical guitar performance at The Hartt School in West Hartford, CT, where she studies with Christopher Ladd. She has earned a position with The Hartt School’s Honors Chamber Music Program, Performance 20/20, providing her a full scholarship for her doctoral studies. Catherine earned her Master’s degree in guitar performance in 2013, also at The Hartt School, and she earned her BA in music and philosophy from Vassar College in 2011.
