About

Quartet Davis is a group of musicians trained in classical chamber music but with roots in folk and blues-based music. They were drawn together by their excitement for exploring these traditions and their love for the string quartet model. Improvisation is central to their creative process, and is incorporated into all their original works and interpretations of existing work. They love learning and playing different styles from around the world. While they play and sing original music or arrangements of tunes or standards, they also work to respect the traditions and contributions of those who set the groundwork for the many different styles we all enjoy playing today.
