About

Croatian-American violist Ivo Bokulic is an established, in-demand musician in the Bay Area & beyond. He is Acting Principal Violist of the San José Chamber Orchestra, & holds positions in Opera San José, San Francisco Chamber Orchestra, & One Found Sound. Ivo also performs with groups such as San Francisco Opera, New Century Chamber Orchestra, Reno Philharmonic, & Utah Festival Opera.

In addition to orchestra & opera, Ivo has toured, recorded, & shared the stage with artists such as Smokey Robinson, The Eagles, Death Cab for Cutie, Sting, Andrea Bocelli, & Father John Misty. He also regularly records music for video games, television, & films at Skywalker Ranch. This Fall & Winter, Ivo can be seen performing string quartets for Fever's Candlelight Concert Series in San Francisco & Sacramento.

Ivo holds both Bachelor and Master of Music degrees from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, where he studied with Jodi Levitz. He plays a viola made in 1999 by Hiroshi Iizuka.
