About

New Moon Duo, pianist Anne Rainwater and mezzo soprano Melinda Martinez Becker, are a San Francisco-based contemporary chamber arts ensemble. Concentrating on works written in the 20th century or later, New Moon Duo explores unique works that challenge the status quo and push boundaries of compositional styles. We aim to communicate musically to diverse audiences through a wide variety of languages, and cultural narratives that convey compelling and often untold stories. New Moon Duo collaborates with and commissions pieces from composers with distinct musical voices shaped by heritage and identity.
