About

My name is Amanda Dame, and I am a recent graduate of the Peabody Institute and have been performing professionally as a soloist and chamber musician for the past two years. As a soloist, I have given recitals at the Anderson House, the Arts Club of Washington, The Mainstay, the Peabody Institute, and in October will present a solo program at Troy Savings Bank Music Hall in Troy, NY. Over the past year, I performed two of my programs fairly often (“Classical Holiday” and “The Story-Telling Power of the Flute”). I love to play all kinds of music but specialize in classical music, and my programs are fun, engaging, and always tell a story. Besides performing with piano, I like to perform with my flute and guitar duo, 2nd Ceremony. The duo has been performing throughout the Baltimore and DC area for the past year, and recently won Classical Revolution Baltimore’s Battle of the Bands. I also perform with my new flute and percussion duo, featuring percussionist Christina Manceor.

I primarily play classical Music, and some jazz and pop music.
