About

I'm a Bay Area native looking to fill my hometown with great music! I grew up north of the city but returned to study at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music with Carey Bell, principal clarinetist of the San Francisco Symphony. I did my undergraduate degrees in music performance and English at the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, WA, with additional training at the Round Top Institute in Texas and the Eastern Music Festival in North Carolina. In my spare time I love taking care of my 15-year-old golden retriever and hiking through the all the best trails around the Bay.

Music

I play everything! I love pairing masterworks of past centuries with newer, more contemporary standouts. In past concerts I've paired Schubert and Weber with Leslie Bassett and 20th-century jazzmaster Eric Dolphy, or Debussy with Arvo Part and Luciano Berio. I'm interested in bringing some of the great clarinet chamber pieces to life, in particular the trios and quintets of Mozart and Brahms.
