About

Hi there! I'm a cellist living and working in Houston, Texas. I graduated with my master's in performance from Rice University in 2019, where I studied with Norman Fischer. I love performing solo, chamber, and contemporary music. When I'm not playing cello, I like to read, bake, hang out with my Maine Coon cat, and explore the craft coffee scene in HTX.

Music

I play repertoire ranging from the Baroque era to the present. From the standard repertoire, I especially enjoy the works of Bach, Beethoven, Brahms, Schubert, Schumann, Prokofiev, Debussy, Ravel, Britten, and, further ahead, Gyorgy Ligeti, Henri Dutilleux, Elliott Carter, Witold Lutoslawski, and Luciano Berio. I also love performing a diverse selection of contemporary music from 1980 to the present. Some of my favorite contemporary composers include John Adams, Thomas Ades, Sofia Gubaidulina, Caroline Shaw, Augusta Read Thomas, Osvaldo Golijov, and Nico Muhly, among many others.
