About

This engaging and historically-informed ensemble have recently performed at Weiler Recital Hall in Greenwich Village, Manhattan School of Music, Ft. Lauderdale, Tampa, Seattle, and Koblenz, Germany. Their performances feature unfamiliar and well-known works from the 16th through 21st centuries, including many of their own transcriptions outside the repertoire. O’Rourke - England Duo make nuance and subtlety a palpable musical experience, inviting the listener into the sound worlds of language and music.

Music

We perform a variety of works spanning 500 years -- including composers as wide ranging as Bach, Clara and Robert Schumann, Benjamin Britten, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Duke Ellington/Billy Strayhorn, Edith Piaf, Tristan Murail, Mozart and more! We incorporate a balance of musical styles, solo guitar pieces, vocal works with guitar, and spoken poetry with guitar accompaniment.
