About

I am Italian - originally from Cosenza - currently living in New York. I studied clarinet, chamber music and composition at the Perugia Music Conservatory with Ciro Scarponi, Francesco Pepicelli and Fernando Sulpizi. I graduated in clarinet performance with the highest marks and obtained a master degree in chamber music, partnering with pianist Filippo Farinelli. I worked as a principal clarinetist of the Perugia Symphony Orchestra for a decade (1994-2004), appearing also as a soloist. I was also a member of the Italian Youth Orchestra at Scuola di Musica di Fiesole. I attended masterclasses held by Karl Leister, Anthony Pay and Gabriele Mirabassi, being invited to perform at music festivals such as Accademia Chigiana's in Siena, 'Musica Riva' in Riva del Garda (Trento) and 'Perugia Classico'.

Music

I usually play the 19th and 20th century chamber music repertoires with violin or cello and piano and with string quartet. I also perform contemporary music, exploring in particular the solo clarinet repertoire (for instance: Bucchi, Berio, Stockhausen) and premiering works by composers such as Ennio Morricone and Daniele Giorgi.
