Madeleine Hogue
Violin
About
Violinist Madeleine Hogue is an avid performer, educator, and chamber musician. Her love of diverse musical genres has led her to perform throughout the United States, New Zealand, and Europe. Madeleine holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music from the University of Arkansas, where she studied with Dr. Er-Gene Kahng. She continued her studies at California State University-Northridge, where she earned a Master’s of Music under the tutelage of Dr. Lorenz Gamma. While living in Los Angeles she has cultivated an active role as a chamber and orchestral musician, performing with the Átomos String Quartet, Goldberg Honors String Quartet, and the American Youth Symphony. Madeleine believes that classical music is strengthened when the voices of marginalized and underperformed composers are given a platform within the genre. She passionately advocates for the study and performance of works that fall outside the traditional repertoire of Western classical music.
