About

Hello! I am an assistant professor of music at the University of Minnesota Morris campus. I've been teaching piano for over 20 years, and I play both solo programs and chamber music/art song programs as a collaborative pianist. I've played in 15 countries on 4 continents, and in over 20 states. I'm active in the College Music Society, Music Teachers National Association, and am the current President-Elect of the Minnesota Music Teachers Association.

When I'm not practicingI love to travel, read, eat chocolate, and drink tea.

Music

I play classical music from all eras - from Bach and Mozart to Liebermann and Schnittke. My current solo program combines my love of Brahms with contemporary pieces that "borrow" from Brahms - many of these works I commissioned directly from the composers.

Recently I've been delving into the lesser known Czech composer Koželuch.
Additionally I love to play concertos with orchestra, chamber music and collaborate with singers on art song. Recently I've dabbled in some jazz piano as well (though am still very new to this type of playing!).
